Hello! Today, instead of a beauty related post, I'll be sharing about trading! Last month, I was invited by the Online Trading Academy to attend a 1-day workshop; a well-informed lesson about the financial markets around the globe. As it was my first time attending a trading workshop, I had no idea what to expect. I initially thought the class would be conducted in a classroom setting (chairs with retractable table) with the speaker reading off the slides. However, when I reached the Online Trading Academy, I was proven wrong!
The classroom was similar to a computer lab, but with a more professional touch to it like please look at the row of clocks set to different time zones around the world and the double monitor??

Instead of a typical boring workshop where you just listen and fall asleep, it was actually an engaging talk. As a beginner at trading, I was afraid that I would be lost, but actually, it is quite easy to follow the speaker and questions were welcomed.
Some interesting things I learned from the workshop are the differences between the thinking/mindset of 'retail' traders vs real life vs banks/institutes, as well as what kind of thinking we should be adopting, which made a lot of sense to me. The speaker also taught us the common mistakes made by novice traders and how to avoid making these mistakes as well.
There was also a hands-on session where we get to experience live trading and there will be several coaches around to help guide you, allowing you to put what you learned into use. The ratio of coaches to students was almost close to 1 to 1 during the session which is really good because it means that you can get help instantly and easily!
