Tokyo, Japan 2014 Day 4

Had the same routine as the past few mornings - wake up, eat breakfast, and go back to sleep until 12pm.

Went to a small restaurant in the Ikebukuro station for lunch.

I had the Chicken cutlet rice bowl (as above) and its so nice omg. The chicken is soooo crispy and the egg is very flavorful even on it's own. And the thing about Japanese rice is that they always taste nice so everything in the bowl is nice.

My mum had Curry rice and she said it was nice but the one from CoCo Curry House is definitely better. I never tried it so I don't know how it compares.

Despite our hotel being in Ikebukuro, we did not really explored the more "happening" part of Ikebukuro, which is the Sunshine City so we wanted to go there and try to cover as much as possible before 6pm so we can go to our next destination.

We managed to reach where we wanted to go but we did not really go in and see because it was pass 6pm already and we need time to get to our next destination - Tokyo Tower.

We followed instructions on the Internet (thanks to our mobile wifi router) and we found the way to the tower, and also following people who were obviously heading to the tower. It was super funny because they kept stopping to take photos so we had to follow and stop as well, waiting for them to be done with photos. But it was fine because we get to take photos too!

View of Tokyo Tower from several different distances.

There's also a temple/shrine next to the tower so if you're at the Tokyo Tower in the day, you can give this place a visit as well!

It was a pretty long walk to the Tokyo Tower but it's worth it!

Finally reached the Tokyo Tower!!

When we enter the building, we were super confused about where the ticketing counter is so we asked the information counter and she told us to head up. So a tip is please freaking open your mouth and ask when overseas because they would be more than willing to help you, at least in Japan.

An awkward photo with the tower figure.

Since we didn't get to go to the observatory of Tokyo Skytree, we decided to get both the main and special observatory ticket (and also because it was cheaper compared to Tokyo Skytree).

I'm not going to post much photos of the view because well there's nothing much and you should just see it for yourself.

This is the "another Tokyo Tower" that I learnt from Gackt in one of the Arashi no Shinyagare episodes HAHAHA. But indeed it does look pretty!

Awkward photo and please look at my fashion sense that day wtf.

There was this self help stamping booth for I think the 55?th anniversary so being typical tourists we went for it.

Oh that's my mum yay.

Headed to the souvenir shop to buy, well, souvenirs for people, and I found this in the roses colors hehe! But didn't really go according because I wanted the pink one ):

We went to the special observatory and to be honest, you can actually skip this part because the view is still the same and it's a freaking long wait. But if you have the extra cash to spare and want to get the fullest experience in Japan then you can go for it I guess.

Random selfie.

Headed out of the building since it was the closing time and there was a Christmas display (I think) so we took some photos!

Selfie with the mum.

Oh & the view of the tower is just so amazing from the bottom of the building!

When we were heading back we kind of forgot our way so we actually followed people who seemed like they were going back to the station & that's how we managed to get back safely lolol.

We could not decide what to have for dinner and since I was craving for that best ramen I ever had in Japan, we headed back to the place, this time having one whole bowl of ramen to myself!

Just in case you're wondering where it is (more like how the shop looks like LOL), it is in west Ikebukuro.

Omg I miss this sooooo much can someone please bring me back here. So hungry after seeing this!

Went back to the hotel and ended the day with once again, the best dinner in Japan hehe.

And here's day 4 vlog!

Cheers. ♡
